A lioness at the Lake Tobias Wildlife Park in Halifax, PA. Her expressions were so moving. You could feel strength yet so many other emotions. Lioness is the active member of the family or the lion pride. They never grows a mane, this is the main identification. Lioness is the smaller ones which range from 140 to 175 centimeters in length and bodyweight of 190 kilograms. The body is slender and helps to be more flexible. The lion is a species in the family Felidae and a member of the genus Panthera. It has a muscular, deep-chested body, short, rounded head, round ears, and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It is sexually dimorphic; adult male lions have a prominent mane. With a typical head-to-body length of 184–208 cm they are larger than females at 160–184 cm. It is a social species, forming groups called prides. A lion pride consists of a few adult males, related females and cubs.
